Life Records is a record label out of Montreal, Canada that is promoting the advancement of life through music. This hip-hop, reggae and rnb record label boasts a strict dedication to purely positive music to stimulate the body and touch the soul. The message of this label appears to have been developed in stark opposition to the common derogatory themes of most rap and hip hop songs.
In close inspection life records looks to dash a touch of cultural , societal and spiritual messages in their music. This musical message coming from this label is filled with knowledge from many a great man of history such as: Jesus Christ, Marcus Garvey, Napoleon Hill, Haile Selassie and many more. However, though the songs are filled with such a positive message, nothing is lost in entertainment value as the beats and musical arrangements are still set for one to groove all night long.
If you were on this website a couple of weeks ago, you would view tons of links such as: artist profiles containing information and pictures, radio shows, singles, albums and much more. The website currently looks to be in construction mode right now with a new template and only a couple songs on the flash media player on the front page. Notwithstanding, they do have a mailing list which notifies their fans when they update and it also looks as though they are in album preparation.
With hip hop and rap sales going down, labels like this have a great chance to have a large impact on the society. I know that Life Records is not the first label to step up to the plate with positive, entertaining music , however once fully on their feet, one knows that there is great opportunity for this label to touch many a young person , young in age and young in heart to live and enjoy a better life.
